About Us
Soltys Place is the only Adult Day Health Program in Orange County. We remodeled and reopened on October 19, 2021 after a nineteen-month long closure. We are operated by Senior Care of Orange County, Inc. We are a non-profit 501 C (3) organization.
We can serve up to 29 clients a day at our current location. We provide support and care for individuals who are over the age of 18 and benefit from supportive, structured, and monitored daytime engagement opportunities.
We are supported through the generous and yet limited funding from state and county based social and medical support programs, VA benefit payments, private pay fees, but mostly by generous donations from people who care and are seeking to improve options for community programs for those in need.
Our History
In 2004, Orange County’s only adult day health program was established by the non-profit, Senior Care of Orange County, Inc. The program was renamed to honor Florence Soltys in 2010. The program closed in March of 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions. In the spring of 2021 efforts began to reopen the program under new guidance. After many long hours of physical renovation, re-licensing adherence completion, and programmatic restructuring, we were once again ready to serve those in need in Orange County and the surrounding areas. On October 19, 2021, the program opened its doors for the return of familiar faces and new participants, staff, and volunteers. Renamed, Soltys Place, where friends connect.

Honoring Florence Soltys
Florence Gray Soltys, a nationally recognized expert and advocate for the needs of older adults.
She made a major impact on aging services and policies of our state and county, but more importantly, she has improved the quality of life and quality of healthcare of the people she served.
Florence will be missed, but her exceptional life and work will never be forgotten.
